hey fellas im thinking that its time to go forward and get a new cpu i currently use a G4560 witch to be fair for its price when i bought it was more than a typical vfm im thinking to get a 7nth gen intel but then again is it worth it?

my motherboard is a GIGABYTE B250-HD3P-CF with the latest bios on and im thinking for i5-7600K since it an lga 1151 socket is it worth it....?

Everything depends on price. The B250 chipset doesn't support overclocking, so you're not going to be able to milk any more out of that 7600K, but if the price is right and your PSU is up for it, who cares about running an unlocked chip on a locked board?

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

Unless you can find 7th gen Core CPUs for extremely cheap it's not worth it to spend the money on four threads nowadays. If you have enough money for an upgrade then just buy a new CPU/mobo combo.

well the thing is that the motherboard gets a bit of oc i wont see like 5Ghz but definatelly will go a bit more than the stock

and i say that cuse on a prev gen 6 i had 6600k i was able to oc ....strange though

price??right ??meaning?

Some Skylake boards had overclocking "unofficially" unlocked for non-K chips based on the BCLK being disconnected from...something. I don't remember the exact mechanics of it, but it allowed for BCLK overclocking of any Skylake chip, which got Intel's panties in the tightest of wads.

As far as I know, it was only ever unlocked for Z170 boards, and definitely never made available for B250 boards. And if you buy a 7600K on the cheap and have a Z170 board, there's no need to BCLK overclock.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

really??but i5 are most suitable for games as far as i have searched

The 7600K is basically an unlocked i3 by modern standards. The newer i5s have six cores, which does make a difference. If you really was to game on a budget, go for a Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7 and a B450 board (or B350 if it's first-gen), but then you're changing platforms entirely. If the i5 is cheap as hell, go for it. Everything is a great buy at the right price, and it'll hold you over while you save up for a used Ryzen platform, or just keep using it until it gets to be so elderly that you lose your mind.

There is, imo, no better value on the used market right now than first-gen Ryzen. If that's doable for you, do it, by all means. If not, there are worse things in life than a Skylake i5.

true true despite for the cheap  by ghz/speed/thread ryzen intel is something i can always relay on i used to have amd and i have so much negative impretions that even if amd get a top high end cpu for logic value witch it does i would still opt for them and as i see it ill remain on the g4560 for a while til prices settle up

Ryzen is not FX or Carrizo. Ryzen is the Sandy Bridge to Intel's Bulldozer.
