I don't know of any programs that will overlay the temperatures in the corner or anything.  Core Temp is a good program for just regular temperature monitoring, and you can customize it to display the temperature and load in the taskbar.

MSI afterburner offers it with its OSD though thats suposed to work with msi afterburner data, so gpu speed etc. but some people seem to get it working with cpu temperature aswell. But its a pain to get that working. Atleast i dont get it working in World of Warcraft.

2nd non logical option is using a seccond screen and watch the info over there

Running: i7 4770k cooled by Swiftech H220 (Delided and Lapped) (5ghz+ capable) - MSI Z87 mPower MaX - 4x 4gb 2400mhz corsair vengeance cl10 - 660Ti Graphics in a Fractal R4

its really easy.

download hwinfo and msi afterburner.

http://www.hwinfo.com/#

http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htm

then install both.

then open msi afterburner OSD.

-turn on "show on-screen display"

-set application detection level to low

then open hwinfo

-run sensors only mode

-press configure

VGx7y3x.jpg

-then go to what ever you want to monitor

-click on it

-and add a tick mark to show in the riva tuner OSD box

HoQwFUo.jpg

and thats it.

I'd recommend going for core max instead of all the individual cores, that way your not taking up too much space and still get all the info you need.

if you need any help with this feel free to ask, made this in a hurry so sorry if it's not awesome.

Core temp is good, but it doesn't overlay. However, if you have a Logitech G510/G19, it will show up in the keyboard screen, which is very handy.

Might be able to get it to sit ontop with a Rainmeter skin. But that might be relient on the game running in windowed mode. Personally I prefer the rainmeter aproach since you can position it anywhere on your screen, you can fade it. Could even make a cool frame for it to be displayed in. Maybe theme it like the game your playing so it merges into the HUD.

Edit:

Lol, Crysis HUD that also tells you CPU temps. Thatd be cool.

is afterburners OSD showing up at all for the overlay?

just wondering if AB isn't giving you any overlay,or if it simply isn't giving you the cpu temp overlay.
