Can i connect my tower to my laptop display with vga?

I have this old pc that i stopped using in a while since it had a posting error, i fixed it yesterday and now it posted, but my monitor keeps on being on standby mode (it's a problem that was happening even before).

The question is: can i plug my tower to the laptop screen and work from there?

I’m pretty sure you can’t connect a computer to a laptop display. Sorry :(

“A laptop's screen lacks the ports that a typical monitor uses to receive input from a desktop computer because they were never meant to function as a stand-alone device. As a consequence of this fact, it is not possible to plug a desktop computer into a laptop and use its screen as the display.”

Ooooooor i can just plug it to my tv's vga port.....
