Help with SteelSeries Stratus Duo (controller)

Hi, my friend bought a SteelSeries Stratus Duo controller and needs help making it work as intended. The controller has the same buttons as a xbox controller. Does windows recognize it as one?

 

The main problem: The left joystick works as "wasd" in both farming simulator 19 and Euro truck 2. By that I mean that its full turn or straight ahead just as if you drive using wasd/keyboad. The throttle/brake also is also full power or none as a keyboard button.

He does not use any software other than steam to configure the controller. Since the same problem is in both games, perhaps it has to be solved outside the game settings. I am not sure. I have never had this issue myself using a xbox 360 controller.

 

Do you guys have any advice?

Does it have any SteelSeries software that needs to be installed for it? Usually if it is not a legitimate Xbox controller it will have software from the manufacturer that needs to be installed for it to work as intended, get's the drivers and such.

No software needed – pair and play on Windows, Android, Oculus Go, and Samsung Gear VR via Bluetooth or the USB Wireless Adapter (from the website)

 

The only thing I could find was Steelseries engine 3, I dont think that is needed.

ETS2 does show the controller in the config (with mouse, keyboard ect) the buttons can be mapped on the other page, but the joysticks and bumpers does not registrer when selecting them for steering, accelerating, braking under controls.

Farming simulator does not change UI to xbox buttons in menues and stuff (it does for me i see controller buttons in menues and help just like its a xbox)

The controller works as intended in Xcom: enemy unknown. its just like playing on a xbox.

The Stratus does not work exactly as an Xbox one controller does espet in Roblox the right joystick that normally pans the camera view simply pans str8 up or down and in a constant spin that you can't stop so to say they work the same is not at all correct.
