Hello everybody,

So after many months of thinking of buying new PC i finally did it.

I bought MSI B450 Tomahawk Max , r7 3700x , Corsair Vengeance 16GB 3200Mhz  cl16,Corsair RM650X , WD M.2 SSD 500GB , Seagate  2TB 7200 rpm HDD and i kept old GPU Gigabyte 1080.

After assembly everything was working flawlessly until about a week after.

When i started PC and it got through motherboard logo , suddenly as it wanted to get into windows login screen dispaly stopped responding ...no display port signal...so i reseted it ...and it fixed it and i could work for hours.

but it was doing it allways when i freshly powered up pc...allways needed to restart...sometimes it did get to windows but as if gpu was faulty...it was freezing and artifacting...again restart fixed it.

but this time it didnt even wanted to get into win10...debug led for boot was lit and it couldnt find mine windows ssd...so it booted me into bios...i turned it off and turned it on and again it is working no problems.

So now i dont know if it is something about GPU or MB or what...but if it is physical fault how could restart fix it ? and all my drivers are up to date ...i have read that tomahawk motherboard had some issues with these things and it is fault of software...or that corsair RM650x psu dont allways provide advertised power.

I dont want to risk flashing bios (  cos i heard that it can make things worse ) or buying new gpu without knowing what is the problem.

What should i do ?

Thank you for any advice in advance.

Confused: Did the problem solve itself? If so, maybe it was just a fluke? Maybe a loose connection between the drive and the motherboard?

Flashing BIOS usually makes things better and I don't think it would hurt, but I don't think you need to.

hmmm...so should i return it for better one ? when i was buying this corsair RM650X it was supposed to be one of the best ( it was in the psu tier list ) but right now on the review page on the retail shop i bought it from, there are some new reviews( after i bought it ) telling us that it is not giving advertised power ...so it may be the cause of my problems....

it is online shop where you order it and they sent it to warehouse where you pick it up .it looks like this https://www.alza.sk/corsair-rm650x-2018-d5494144.htm?o=1

it is reputalbe retailer and i never had any issiues with them ...old pc that i bought parts for there lasted me for 7 years

B450 has a lot of issues... just search this forum alone...

But the PSU seems to be causing this as well.

So that I can understand..

You shut the PC down when you are done using it...

When you come back to the PC, you turn it on by pressing the Start button... but nothing happens...

But if you press the "Reset" button on the case, it boots up...

Am I right?

Yes you are right

well when i press start button ,motherboard logo and everything show up..i can go to bios...it just stops responding when windows is about to start

Your reset and power buttons on the case are swapped.. check that and make sure you have not plugged them wrongly.

i dont think it is switched ...it wouldnt allow me to go to bios if it was switched ...pc is powered on ,it just wont let me into windows after first start as if no gpu was found ( all rgb parts are lit and all the fans spin)...but i will check it tomorrow anyway

Hi OP, may I know if you fixed this problem? I'm encountering the same issue as you are.

My pc won't boot into windows the first time I turn it on from a shutdown but will work perfectly after I restart the system.

Heya....i reseated cmos battery ( took it out for few minutes and put it back ) and it works now without reset...hope it will help you too.
