New Build Recommendation

NightRavenEX

Need Help! I've been using my current setup for since 2013. Only recent parts are the GPU and Power Supply. I think its time for me to get a new setup this year so I'll need some recommendation on selecting the components.

Shown below is my current pc im using:-

My plan to is to get a new monitor though I haven't really decided on which yet but it'll be maximum 27" , 1440p with minimum 144hz and maximum 5ms response time.

So please help to select component bearing with this monitor in mind.

(Heck if you can recommend a good monitor that'll be a bonus help. Budget $400 USD)

My use is mainly for gaming on high settings. My budget is around $1600 USD. Thanks!

Hello,

Monitor VIOTEK GN27DW 27.0" 2560x1440 144 Hz Monitor $249.99 @ Walmart
Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts
  Total (before mail-in rebates) $1369.92
  Mail-in rebates -$30.00
  Total $1339.92

You add your current storage and PSU to the list and sell your GPU (it won't keep up with 144Hz at 1440p).

With $1600, just build a whole new system TBH. I'd roll over the power supply since it's very high quality, but other than that just build a whole new PC and flip the old one, since it's still a very capable machine.

Example build:

PCPartPicker Part List
Type Item Price
CPU AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor $299.99 @ B&H
CPU Cooler ARCTIC Freezer 34 eSports DUO CPU Cooler $47.22 @ Amazon
Motherboard MSI B450-A PRO MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard $99.99 @ B&H
Memory G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory $72.99 @ Newegg
Storage ADATA SU760 512 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive $62.99 @ Amazon
Storage Toshiba X300 4 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $109.98 @ Walmart
Video Card EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER 8 GB BLACK GAMING Video Card $663.98 @ Newegg
Case Phanteks P300 ATX Mid Tower Case $59.99 @ Amazon
Custom RM750x (From Old Build) Purchased
Custom Buy cheaper PSU for old build $50.00
Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts
  Total (before mail-in rebates) $1497.13
