Graphics Card Issues

Hello everyone, 

I am a pc noob just built my first system which booted fine and clean installed windows 10. It was complete minus the gpu as that was in the mail. I installed it just now and my system will no longer boot. RGb on the mother board will light up as well as the onboard start button but not the ram or aio. When I press the power button I only hear a click coming from the power supply. Any ideas on what it may be?

Intel 9700k

Nzxt Kraken x72

Gskill 16gb ddr4

Samsung NVMe 1tb

Asus strix 2080ti

what is the wattage of your psu.

i looked up some things on google i would remove the gpu and if it still does not post i would replace the psu because it seems that that clicking static noise means he psu is defective.

also it could do this because the gpu to psu connector may be plugged in the wrong ports on the psu

i unplugged the additional 4 pin cpu power cable and it booted up just fine with the graphics card installed. i would assume that this means i am going to need a stronger power supply. Is this assumption accurate?

no the 750watt psu should be way more than enough to run your system.
