i have this PC https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/asus-rog-strix-gaming-pc-intel-core-i5-8400-1tb-hdd-8gb-ram-nvidia-gtx-1050-windows-10-english/13565767

i upgraded my ram to 2 8 GB sticks so i have 16 GB in total and i was thinking about upgrading my graphics card but since i have a 300 watt power supply i dont know weather i can. i heard that gtx 1650 is good for low power but i dont know how much better it is than my current gtx 1050 2 GB and weather it will even work with my mother board and power supply. i just want to be able to play apex legends with 60+ fps without it looking terrable and escape from tarkov with 60 fps thanks for looking at my post.

this is my first post here and its my first PC.

i would never go below 400W. idk the total power consumption. but just change to CX or BequitU(9 or any other affordable PSU. around 550W for safer. although 450W is enough

A 1650 does not require a power connector, it gets power from the PCIe slot you plug it in too. You are fine to upgrade the GPU without changing the PSU, that said not a huge upgrade, a PSU upgrade and something like an RX 580 8gb or better will yield much better results, the 1650 is massively overpriced for what it is. I'd recommend a Corsair CXm450 (grey label) and something better in your local used market for a GPU upgrade.

rx 570 asrock 1x6 pin

for details, googling it.

he will be running at almost 300w with a 570. Plus we don't know if his PSU has all 300w on the 12v rail or not, so the 570 isn't gonna work.

a GTX 1650 or 1650 super is the most i'd trust with your PSU, but you'll likely need a dual molex to 6-pin adapter for the 1650 super.

then you lower your settings and hope it's enough, because otherwise you're never gonna be able to get 60FPS if you don't make an upgrade.

i will post one later but i cant take it out cuz of my case its silver and i dont see any labels on it

if you can't find the labels then see if it has a 6-pin connector on the GPU or just lying around, or a pair of large 4-pin molex connectors.

is it a 6+2 pin connector?

is it a 6 pin connector?

is it s 4 pin molex?

you can use google to get images of the connectors if you are unsure of how they look.
