What PSU exactly ? '1200W' doesn't tell shit about it's quality, neither does it's efficiency rating.

No, you're fine.

Edit: To clarify, the power supply knows to only supply the amount of power to the components that they can handle.

The only thing here the inefficiency of a $400 (? guessing at price) PSU with a $200 CPU and $200 GPU.

CPU: i7-8700k MOBO: MSI MAG Tomahawk Z390 RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 32GB 3200MHz GPU: 1080ti

a PSU will only deliver the amount of watts the components ask for

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Why on earth did you buy 1200w?

You need 450-550w for your build.  Save some money.

Which 1200W PSU is it? If it's a high quality 1200W PSU then it won't be an issue. If it's an eBay/aliexpress/wish "1200W" PSU you got for $40 then it's going to be garbage.

No I didn't buy a 1200 PSU .that PSU is just part of my dad's old build before he moved. Just tryna save some money and not buy a new PSU when I already have one

Corsair ax 1200i

Then it's good, very good in fact, it's very similar performance wise to their current flagship, AX1600i, just with lower wattage and somewhat lower efficiency, very solid unit for modern standards despite it's out of warranty, i wouldn't be afraid to power high-end multi-GPU PC with it, not to mention your build.
