I have a kit of 2x8gb 3200 mhz ram from corsair that hassent recently been running at the correct speed. It should run at 3200 mhz, but sometimes runs less than that. After I applied the DOCP profile it came with recently, I got 2 blue screens. One with the error code IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL, and DRIVER OVERRAN STACK BUFFER. They've stopped now. Does it have to do with my ram placements? I have them on the 1st and 3rd slots. Does it also have to do with my cpu or motherboard? I have a Ryzen 5 1600x and an ASUS Prime x370-PRO.

All I ever do at this point is play Destiny 2.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's kinda sad...

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600x

CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i v2

MB: Asus PRIME x370 Pro

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX (2x8gb) 3200 MHz

Storage: Toshiba P300 1TB, Samsung 970 EVO 250gb

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 ti GAMING

PSU: Corsair RMx 750w

Case: Corsair Crystal 460x

I don't think it would cause blue screens if you don't, but for most motherboards including yours, you should use the A2 and B2 ram slots to run in dual channel mode. First generation Ryzen is very hit or miss with ram. I would find the model number of the kit of ram you have and make sure it is on the motherboard memory QVL linked below.

Another thing to take a look at is your bios version. If you look at the bios versions listed on the Asus page for your motherboard, quite a few of them say they improve system stability and memory support. If you are still on the original bios version, updating it to the latest version could solve the problems, but it's not guaranteed.
