How can i get a mic like this?

Ive been wondering what mic this is or how to get my mic to sound like this for a while, i have watched multiple youtube videos on it but none seem to get the effect quite right any help is appreciated.

Probably something along the lines of an AT2020. And if you want to get even better sound you probably need to get something along the lines of a pre-Amp and a DAC iirc. 

 

Im not all that familiar with the stuff.

This sounds very much like when you take the grille off an AKG P4, and turn the gain very high.

LTT's Resident Porsche fanboy and nutjob Audiophile.

 

Main speaker setup is now;

 

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

 

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)
