So I just reformatted my Mini ITX build and put a fresh instal of Windows 10 on it but I wanna upgrade my CPU and MoBo now. Im gunna go from Intel to AMD. So with that being said, would I have to re-reformat my hard drive again when I get the new parts or would it be alright without having to do that. If you need to know, the boot drive is an M.2-2280 nvme ssd.

This is generally the best procedure, however windows 10 hot swaps pretty well (most of the time).

If you plan to hot swap, remove all of the Intel drivers first. That'll help avoid conflicts. Sometimes that does require some system files to be manually removed as well.

Personally I would do a clean install, when you change mobo and cpu there will be different drivers for chipset etc which can give you some stability issues. It will probably work fine but there could be performance repercussions. Funny enough changing between nvidia and amd gpu's without running ddu is worse, but same sort of concern
