Need assistance with my New/First Build - New parts UPDATE

Hi All,

I need feedback on the following build, main purpose will be for Graphic design/Media content and light/medium gaming,

So i have a specific budget and this is what I am setting my sights on right now:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
  • Motherboard: Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI)  - X570 will allow me to upgrade this in the future CPU wise and GPU if needed)
  • Cooling: Prisme which comes with AMD CPU ( if you want to suggest another please do - budget can go up to Arctic Freezer 34 eSports DUO)
  • Memory: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 2x16GB DDR4 3600Mhz CL17
  • SSD: Samsung 970 PRO M.2 MZ-V7P1T0 1TB SSD >>> (I need it to be as fast as possible for content creation/design)
  • Graphic card*: Gigabyte GTX 1660 SUPER GAMING OC 6GB GDDR6 HDMI 3xDP  <<<>>> Sapphire Radeon RX 5600 XT PULSE 6GB OC GDDR6 HDMI 3xDP *
  • PSU**:  Asus ROG-STRIX 650W GOLD ROG-STRIX-650G - this is the one a can get or maybe i can try and get Corsair 750W 80+ Gold RM750x/ 650W - need advise here too as going with Corsair will be good for my budget.
  • Case: Asus TUF Gaming GT501 Mid Tower OR  Corsair ICUE 220T RGB Airflow Tempered Glass Mid Tower ATX (corsair is cheaper than the ASUS)

* this is the issue, in my budget I can go to 1660 Super or i can extend it a little and go for the RX 5600 XT but i hear there are some issues now with AMD graphics Driver - Can you advise here as going for the 2060 super is above the budget)

**PSU: I can also get Antec High Current Gamer 850W 80+ Gold HCG850 Extreme  which is cheaper than the ASUS and same price as the Corsair.

Please help me decide which are the best parts for my specific needs and build, if you have suggestion to change some parts please let me know.

Adding my budget and location -

Location: Israel - parts are not that cheap and there is a wide range of prices and parts here

Budget: around 1800$ (converting from local currency)

Again i am open for any suggestion and I provided some of the alternatives I can afford/change if you can suggest any for the same price range (nevermind USA or EU prices)

Than it will help a lot.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

***Updating current build follow suggestion below:***

  • AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6Ghz AM4 stock cooling
  • Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI) AM4
  • EVGA RTX 2060 SUPER XC GAMING 8GB GDDR6 HDMI 3xDP USB Type-C -**
  • Corsair Force MP600 PCIe NVMe M.2 2280 1TB SSD M.2 2280
  • Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x16GB DDR4 3600MHz CL18
  • Asus ROG-STRIX 650W GOLD ROG-STRIX-650G
  • CoolerMaster MasterBox MB530P ATX Mid Tower Black Case

**If i change it to lower cards like 1660 TI/SUPER or 5600XT will be cheaper by 100$+ - should I ?

Is this good enough ?

As content creation/graphic designer/workstation/1080p || 2K gaming

Adding optional monitor for purchase:

regarding Monitor, what do you think about:

LG 34GL750-B 34''

its resolution is 2560x1080 i can get it for a good price

For around same price i can get

"27 Asus ROG Swift PG279QE Gaming IPS 2K

OR

Asus VG27BQ 27''

Update - following some feedbacks:

Got my hands on few cases option prices from high to low:

Cooler Master MasterCase H500P Mesh - price as the ASUS TUF

Cooler Master MasterCase H500 - Price as the CoolerMaster MasterBox MB530P

PSU new option :

Gigabyte PSU AORUS 850W PFC Gold 80+ Modular P850W - price even better than the ASUS

what do you guys think?

not sure if big blocks like the Scythe Mugen 5 are available

ROG Strix Gold psu are based on the Seasonic Focus Plus Gold platform. Corsair RM are good but use lesser quality components.

Check pricing on Seasonic Focus Plus Gold and Prime Gold. Along with Corsair RMX.

Did you consider Nzxt and Phanteks cases?

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

@Jurrunio Thnx:

I can go for G.Skill Trident Z Neo RGB 2x16GB DDR4 3600Mhz CL18 - it is cheaper

Or

Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x16GB DDR4 3600MHz CL18

Regarding SSD options:

Corsair Force MP600 PCIe NVMe M.2 2280 1TB SSD M.2 2280 also much cheaper than the samsung

Regarding the PSU: Unfortunately I do not have a lot to pick from in this category as well as cases

For PSU i can get the ASUS from what you sent ( thank you) its tier A

Regarding Cases i can get ADATA XPG INVADER ATX Mid Tower

OR

CoolerMaster MasterBox MB530P ATX Mid Tower

* don't have a lot of options - is the ASUS a good case?  ( he is not that expensive)

GPU: i can get the EVGA RTX 2060 SUPER XC GAMING 8GB GDDR6 HDMI 3xDP USB Type-C - due to changes above it will go in my budget

For cooling i can get the Noctua NH 15 i think but it will extend a little the budget

we do not have the Scythe Mugen - at least were i am checking

Regarding the monitor for now it is a basic 27 inch DELL non gaming monitor

I am planning on upgrading it in the future for 34 inch gaming monitor

So are the above ok ?

Go for the cheaper of the two ram kits if you RGB is not necessarily needed. Both are 3600MHz CAS18, so that's perfectly fine

I wholeheartedly agree with Jurrrnio: go for the Corsair mp600 force Gen4 SSD

Asus PSU are very good, usually they are pretty pricey however, but if that's not the case for you, then go for it.

GPU: You might want to consider the EVGA 2060 KO if that's available in your country. It uses the same TU104 die that the 2070S and 2080 use and can give you significant gains (up to 40% compared to regular 2060s IIRC) in workstation loads. Should be powerful enough for the light/medium gaming you have in mind

As for cooling: stick with the stock cooler for now - you can always upgrade later and you get it for free with the CPU anyways!

Adata case looks to the choking airflow really hard

The 220T doesnt have enough holes on the front

so it's between the Asus GT501 and MB530P. Both are alright

34" monitor means 3840x1440 resolution? This is lacking GPU power for playing AAA titles at high settings and high frame rates

Unfortunately i do not have the EVGA 2060 KO I have  EVGA RTX 2060 XC OC 6GB GDDR6 DVI HDMI DP

its cheaper than the EVGA RTX 2060 SUPER XC

@Jurrunio

Regarding the monitor i am still thinking about it and its going to be 2k or 4k not sure at the moment so i dont think its important right

now i will figure it out when i get the second budget for it, also if i am going to play and look for a monitor specific to this option,

Than  i think i will go max 2K res or even 1080

What about the motherboard is it ok ?

I have cheaper gigabyte that i can choose but it ASUS TUF is considered good i do not want to change it

The build looks good to me and I would stick with the 2060 Super. Regarding monitor I would personally go with the Asus PG279QE as I have the suspicion that you won't be satisfied with the pixel density of the LG compared to a 27" 1440p monitor
