So I was messing around in the bios of a German laptop (Trekstor C11B) and I turned on bios lock Assuming an extra level of security to keep my files safe since I had a ssd built into the motherboard and upon booting windows it froze on a black screen so I unplugged the laptop battery for 5 seconds and when plugged back and powered on I was greeted with a screen that said enter password but since I’m an idiot I didn’t realize that flashing the bios would cause my password to be deleted so now I cant not boot to windows with out the password please help me

if it has a password, its either a password you entered when enabling the bios lock, or a default password that's in the manual.

(EDIT: corrected a double derp)

Not necessarily, if the BIOS already has a password set and stored it won't ask for a new one though in my experience it will usually confirm you at least know the existing password before enabling the lock.

Main Rig:-

Ryzen 7 3800X | Asus ROG Strix X570-F Gaming | 16GB Team Group Dark Pro 3600Mhz | Corsair MP600 1TB PCIe Gen 4 | Sapphire 5700 XT Pulse | Corsair H115i Platinum | WD Black 1TB | WD Green 4TB | EVGA SuperNOVA G3 650W | Asus TUF GT501 | Samsung C27HG70 1440p 144hz HDR FreeSync 2 | Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS |

Server:-

Intel NUC running Server 2019 + Synology DSM218+ with 2 x 4TB Toshiba NAS Ready HDDs (RAID0)

So I’m 90% percent sure that I have the right password but I flashed bios is there a certain amount of time does a Mobo have before it forgets a bios lock password
