I am wondering if I will run into any problems with upgrading from 8gb of ram to 16gb of ram. I have the older model of hyperx ddr4 ram (c18 1.2v 3200Mhz) and am wondering if I will run into any issues from buying 8gb of their newest c16 1.35v ram to go with it or should I look for a 1.2v (as the oringal models price cost more than buying 16gb of new ddr4 3200mhz ram). Have a ryzen 5 3600 if anyone was wondering

Ryzen loves high speed ram & you'll better off with 16GB anyway. I use hyperX predator RGB ram 32GB 4x8GB sticks. Runs flawlessly. Recommend to set the XMP/D.O.C.P. settings unless you OC them manually. 1.35v are the predators.

Yeah the main issue is that I cannot really afford a entire set of 16gb ram. Thats why I was wondering if my ram would be able to pair with others. heres the pc part picker link for it https://pcpartpicker.com/product/XvyV3C/kingston-hyperx-fury-8-gb-1-x-8-gb-ddr4-3200-memory-hx432c18fb2. Its 1.2v so I am just wondering if buying 1.35v ram would be okay for now as I just need 16gb of 3200mhz ram to last intill I can afford to get a set of new rgb 32gb corsair dominator plats or some hyperx preadtor 32gb ones

No, its 1.2V rating is for settings before enabling XMP, which is something from 2133MHz to 2666MHz. Extra voltage is not a problem

No i just have a very weird 3200mhz kit of hyperx ram and I have not messed with XMP settings at all and it ran a 3200mhz ram.. I have a single stick of 8gb and wondering if the 1.2v ram would stop working correctly if I get 1.35v ram or will it just work
