Hi,

I'm trying to budget on 2 certain components for my build of around $1600 AUD, which of the 2 would give me the best performance

Combo 1 Intel Core i7 9700K / ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER, 8GB = $1518

Combo 2 : Intel Core i9 9900K  / ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2060 Super OC 8GB = $1628

Do you need the amount of cores and threads the i9 will give you?

I build computers and networks. Fibre Optic is my only dream imaginable.

Studying for my CompTIA A+ and my CCNA, if you have any tips, let me know please!

9900k has been shown to perform better in games, but more important is the downgrade to a 2060 that the 9900k would necessitate

It will be mostly for gaming like : MMORPG's , FPS, etc etc, i just wanna be able to play games with at least 1440p up to 144hrz?

I'd go with a 2070 super from that list.  That said I'd suggest looking at buying other brand parts and use the savings to get a 2080 super if you really want maximum fps/pixels...gpu power is more paramount as pixel count goes up.

Edit: I'd go down the 2070 Super route. If you give us a budget for everything (assuming it's a new build) or for the upgrade (what parts do you already have?), we can come up with a build for max performance. Unless your main focus is competitive esport FPS @ strictly 1080p there's not really a reason to go intel.
