So ive been trying to squeeze more power out of my computer. So far i have managed to oc my 2700x to 4.2 ghz and my ram rom 3000 to 3200. However every time i try to go higher for both, my system fails to boot to windows and goes into a boot cycle. so far its given me a recovery blue screen and given me 2 different stop codes. one i fixed by turning off xmp but the other seemed to fix its self when i went back to 3200 from 3600 mhz for the ram. is there anything im doing wrong or can do better to get more performance?

If you fail to boot or get blue screens it simply means your memory is not stable.

I recommend:

Updating the bios

increasing memory voltage

loosening memory timings

Try using XTU to downclock you voltage to the cpu to get a stable clock.

are your temps too high? If so crank up your fan speeds using speed fan.

my temps are fine, under load in superpostision it only hit 60c with the stock cooler at 4.2ghz

Ok so is Your RAM XMP compatible?

because if it is you can set a profile and check what’s your multiplier to get an idea of how much you can set the multiplier.

as soon as i turned xmp on and rebooted it gave me the recovery blue screen, although the packaging says it does support xmp 2.0
