Hello everyone!

I have a small problem that is annoying me.

I have recently upgraded my memory from 1 x8Gb to 2x8Gb. After that I have had some issues booting. Many times when I turn on the pc, no image appears on the screen.

When this happens I hit the reset button and it imediatly posts.

I have no idea what to do. Thanks for your help!

Have you tested with both xmp on and off?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Did you buy a 2x8GB kit or just buy another 1x8GB single module to add to the system? DDR4 is very picky and unless you buy a 2x8gb(dual or quad module kit) you will always be at risk of ram incompatibilities even if they are the same, brand, model, and speeds. Ram incompatibilities include blue screens, freezing, crashing, restarts, and failure to boot. Run memtest86 to check the memory's compatibility, it may be best for you to just return the one module and get a dual module kit of exactly what you need speed and amount wise, which is what I recommend.
