Good CPU for editing & gaming

I would chose the Intel Core i5-9600K

I'd say an 8-core Ryzen would be a much better buy, those 2 cores are gonna come in pretty handy for video editing.

Well in all the game benchmarks the 9600k is a winner.

So maybe those 2 extra cores do not make the difference atm....

It is a faster chip and also costs a little bit more. 

Less cores generally less productivity.

 

Can't really discuss gaming without knowing what Gpu he's going to use. 2080ti, won't matter what cpu you use. lol.

In my country Thailand, 9600KF is cheaper than 2700X...

how about a ryzen 5 3600? it should be better than the 2700x in gaming (especially in cities skylines) and much better than the 9600KF in video editing
