NVIDIA GT 730 Slot Question.

  • Also supports PCI Express x16 graphics cards*

Some sites don't differentiate between PCI and PCI Express, which is really weird, but generally if it says "x16", you'll be good to go.

PCI had a set speed, and didn't have varying lanes the way PCI Express does.

So I am trying to do a “make a old computer modern” project and all of the graphics cards on Amazon say PCI-Express and the computer I want to upgrade doesn’t have PCIe ports, only PCI x16. Would the NVIDIA GT 730 fit in the x16 slot?

The computer I want to upgrade is the HP a6512p.

Things I do:

Upgrade Computers

Build Computers

Disassemble Computers

My System:

MSI GS65 Stealth

CPU - Intel Core i7-8750H

Memory - 16GB DDR4

Graphics Card - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti

Storage - 512 GB SSD

Operating System - Windows 10 Home

Headset - Turtle Beach Stealth 420X+
