Well yeah. Rosewill Glacier is rated C+ Tier, and I'm pretty sure they don't have a track record for making decent quality units even at that.

I'd suggest you go with something at least B+ tier for your replacement.

Yeah. Something like a corsair 650 watt or something like that.

Rosewill Glacier 700W

dont judge a brand on one bad old sample. the performance of one PSU does not affect another one.

their Capstone G is fairly good actually. the glacier, not being among the good ones.

get something Tier B or higher next time.

there are about 6 different PSUs in current production with the wattage 650 from corsair. and not all of them are good.

ah. Well what do you think form the B + or A tier would be good for a 2700x and r9 fury?

as long as you get at least a 550w. or if you are for some reason powerplaytable overclocking the fury 650w+.

id probably look at 650w as the r9 fury can draw a lot, if pushed to it.

Can't really advise to stay away from a brand as a whole because of an outlier. If we did that, you wouldn't be able to recommend anything.

Also, what really matters is whether the PSU takes anything with it when it fails. I've had a couple of decent PSUs fail prematurely due and none of them have taken anything else with them, so I'd still recommend them as not being dangerous.

I guess that is true
