Monitor Stand to Accommodate x3 27" Curved Panels?

eyemroot

Anyone else have three (3) Samsung 27" Curved monitors? If so, have you mounted them on a stand? If yes, which? I'm having a hell of a time finding a stand that is of high quality build construction that can support these side-by-side in a long curve, with a solid clamp to a desktop surface. Most of the ones I have found barely accommodate 27" x 3 in roughly a straight line. Add the angle to the mix to achieve the curve, and it seems like a serious PITA.

Thinking of maybe trying something like https://www.ergoexperts.com/products/innovative-staxx-triple-wide-monitor-mount?variant=16156435578926&currency=USD&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIp9aE7dbK5wIVy5yzCh24RwHXEAQYASABEgKxlPD_BwE which is supposedly built to accommodate 30" monitors, possibly giving me a little play when I turn them inward to achieve the curve. That's a $500 stand though, so I'd like to see if anyone else has a solution before I drop that kind of coin.

https://www.ergotron.com/en-us/products/product-details/hxdesktriplemonitorarm#/ seems like it would work perfectly, but it doesn't appear to support a 27" x 3 configuration.

Thanks for any suggestions!

You want a stand that will follow the exact curve of that particular monitor?  Yeah, I can see that being a problem.  Might have to be custom.  A standard curvature isn’t really a thing.

what I would go for in this situation myself is three adjustable single monitor stands on clamps, and have 3 clamps on the back of the desk.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

I just bought two stands, although my 27" monitors are not curved so I don't know if it would give you enough room.

Might not be as elegant at a single stand solution, but honestly I like mine so far.

To clarify, I have three articulating, gas-piston stands already--I am moving away from that model because one already failed within a month of having it. The question is related to a single stand with three mount points. They also take up far more room with their beefiness than I would prefer. My logic is that I find one that can perhaps support three 30" monitors and that will give me the play with the pivot and swivel to make them follow the curve. Thank you.

Additionally, if it's rated for the weight of three 30" monitors, then I would assume that three 27" monitors shouldn't exceed the weight limit supported. In any case, I have already had the brand new 240Hz slam to the desk. Not looking for that to happen to the other two. I've already contacted the manufacturer and Amazon to report the defective unit--apparently it might be more common than previously understood.

Indeed. I contacted Ergotron to see if they have a custom 27"x3 setup that they might be able to work up and requested a price quote. I don't think it would be cheap, if so. Not sure who else would make them. Wish I had access to a welder still, I'd just make my own.

Yeah, had seen them before and considered it, but I really want to get away from all that additional mount points to the desktop if possible. I've got a lot of hardware to stack up on here and I've built this desk to handle about 240-lbs of weight. A single mount point will be ideal. ?

110v tig welders are pretty cheap.  They can’t do anything but really thin metal of course.  A 3 stand system might be cheaper than a custom one.  Hold better too maybe.

Thanks for the recommendation!  We do also make a triple monitor mount that's capable of supporting three 27" monitors: https://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Triple-Computer-Monitor-Mount/dp/B0798K58B4

We're glad the stands you have are working well for you!
