Hey guys,

Do any of you know if Western Digital's desktop external HDDs use 7200RPM HDDs or just 5400RPM HDDs?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I believe that they are 5400RPM because they are 2.5 inch drives.

But 2.5" drives can be 7200RPM.

For my pertinent links to guides, reviews, and anything similar, go here, and look under the spoiler labeled such. A brief history of Unix and it's relation to OS X by Builder.

Hmm...I have come across those @Vitalius. I've actually been looking at this » http://www.wdc.com/en/products/external/desktop/ «

Just would be good to know what RPM HDD it uses. I do already have an external WD 1TB HDD but I would imagine that it is probably only 5400RPM. But I could be wrong.

Which are you wanting to buy? Elements or Book?
