eGPU FreeSync compatibility with MacOS

Hey guys,

I’m finding it impossible to discover whether or not that, with the right set up, I would have FreeSync capabilities using an eGPU with my MacBook Pro 2018 and compatible GPU & monitors.

Here is the potential set-up:

I’m fully aware that building a budget PC would be a better option for gaming, but for my requirements and budget I’m not sure it would make that much of a difference, assuming FreeSync would be possible with the above setup.

Note: I mostly play WoW classic on my computer, as well as hack and slash games like PoE/Diablo/Lost Ark (when it finally decides to drop) and some RTS games. AAA will be played on my PS4.

I apologize in advance if I’ve missed a thread covering this topic already, I’m currently on the move with only an iPhone to do my browsing and - maybe I’m being a bit technologically inept here - don’t have access to a keywords search function.

Hopefully this thread can clear things up for myself and anyone else facing the same predicament, especially before I go shelling out £600 on tech that’s not going to perform to its full capability.
