windows reinstall upon changing platform

Is windows reinstall strictly required when changing the platform?i know it's needed but is it strictly needed or something that can be lived on with? going from i7 6700k and z170 to r9 3900x and x570...

Not strictly but when going from one platform to another its recommended.

No needed or required. Try and look yourself.

Reinstalled windows anyway
