Low Fps in BF4

Go to solution Solved by Damikiller37,

Have you tried unplugging the remaining two monitors and seeing if it makes a difference? Maybe your graphics card just can't do with the game running and additional 2 monitors.

Here are a few things you could try to improve the performance of the game:

If you are using Windows 8 and you are not using Skydrive (OneDrive) in the Modern UI then uninstall it. For some unknown reason it helps BF4. Also another retarded fix is to remove Firefox since it somehow interrupts with the connection between EA servers. Even if it's just installed and you are not using it then still uninstall it. Last advice is to go to where BF4 is installed and then to __Installer and then DirectX and run the setup from there and let it install.
Just in case anyone is wondering... I'm being serious here. I did it and I can play medium settings 1080p 60FPS smooth with extremely rare drops. Before that I were stuttering every other second.

I started playing bf4 today and for some reason i am getting lower than usually fps i even turned it on low 1080p and it was running @ around 20-30 fps which I do not think i would have to do that, i do have three monitors but i am only playing on the one.

specs:

  • CPU
    A10-5700 @ 3.4GHz
  • Motherboard
    MSI 7778 (Jasmine)
  • RAM
    HP 10Gb DDR3 Ram @ 1600Mhz
  • GPU
MSI Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 2GB OC Edition
  • Storage
    Hitachi 1TB 7200rpm
  • PSU

What are the normal FPS you expect?

Are you sure you are using the 660 and not the APU as the graphics?

Hope I could help!

Does this happen on every level?

How big of a server were you playing on and what was the ping?

Hope I could help!

I Tried a couple different maps, different sizes and # of people and it just happened today

ping was around 25 when i looked at it once and another time it was 255 on a different server

and it was a 32 player server filled up on domination so it was not a large map

Ok  I will try that but i though that it would not make a big difference since i was not gaming on them and forgot to say i am running windows 7

My hd 7850 1gb gets 70+ fps on high... so yours should be about the same.
