500w enough?

Go to solution Solved by Fasauceome,

500 watts is plenty. That rig would draw about  400 watts at very most

Under 250 watts for the GPU, less than 100 for the CPU, looks good.

Hello all,

I know this kind of question has been asked a million times yet I can't find a good answer.

Ryzen 5 3600 + Gigabyte Widnforce 2070S OC

Will BE QUIET! Pure Power 11 CM 500W (BN297) 80Plus Gold be enough with maybe some overclocking potential?

it's basically the only CPU from "the list" I can get here, yet I've heard people say 550w is min for this build.

Thank you.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I need?

I doubt your system will draw more than 320-330 W at full load 500 W is plenty enough.
