Bios update?

Most motherboards made after the Zen 2 release come with a bios version newer than the one required for Zen 2, you shouls check the box to see if it's mentioned. Old stock = high probability of old bios.

Check to see if that particular board supports bios flash back. If it does you can update the bios without a cpu or ram installed, then plop that 3600 in with no issues

Additionally, if you already have the mobo and you need to upgrade the bios, you can get a used athlon 200ge (lots of them are floating around due to people upgrading their bios, then selling them ) then just resell it again.

Im with the mentaility of "IF IM NOT SURE IF ITS ENOUGH COOLING, GO OVERKILL"
