USB 2.0 wifi dongle, No Internet Secured connection to my router

Tristerin

I bought 1 of these expedited out of Florida for a project I wanted to complete and then a bunch of them from China @ $1 each.  The expedited one arrived but doesn't work.  Heres what I have tried:

Disable all security on Router (TP Link Archer C5 AC1200)

Change Wifi log in PW

Change Wifi log in PW to match Network Security Key

Let windows DL driver on install

Tried 2 different Realtek Drivers for unit

Reset Router to factory settings

All other devices in my home I can connect or disconnect at my leisure (laptops, Cell phones) with no issue.  I believe its just the uber cheap dongle doesn't work.  The issue is it will see the network no problem but when I go to connect it will not connect demanding security network key.  90% of the time it will not accept that key, but on the 10% times it does it gets "No Internet, Secured" (and I can see it on the admin panel of my router).

I actually was troubleshooting it and it connected to the internet once...was only getting 10mb up and 1mb down and after a restart could not get it connected again.

Anyhow Im not sure if its just a POS hardware cheapo-depot that I bought that's just non functional (cant get it to work with Manjaro, or Windows 10 on any of my machines) or it requires some subtle thing to get it done.  I don't see that being an option but thought Id ask here.

Have already got another adapter on the way that's also AC1200 so I can get better streaming on that PC should I need it but if I can salvage this dongle that would be cool too.
