Need a laptop for computer science ed

Hi laptop fans! I hope you can help me buying a new laptop.

Budget info

  • €800
  • From The Netherlands
  • Don't worry about RAM or SSD, I have the tools to upgrade/install it outside of my budget.

Laptop I'm looking for

  • Thin bezels
  • 13 to 15'6 inch diagonally
  • 4 (or higher) Cores with a boost of at least 2.7ghz
  • Windows must be installed on SSD (Size doesn't matter)
  • Ram upgradeable to 16GB
  • DDR4 RAM capable
  • GPU doesn't matter
  • Preferably light weight
  • QWERTY keyboard

Thanks in advance :)

Fantastic! Do you think I could save on the GPU, I really don't need a GTX1650. Even a 960 would be considered over the top for me. The most visual thing I do is some AdobeXD for web design and wireframes, which iirc doesn't even use any GPU power.

Hmm. If you don't mind refurbished, I'd recommend a ThinkPad T480. You can get a good one between $600-900 US on eBay. Not sure about pricing in Europe. Just make sure to update your Thunderbolt firmware, as there was faulty firmware released in late 2018 that can cause USB-C ports to fail.
