Hi! this is my frist post here so go easy. xD

 

i am looking for a solution to my air cooling needs.

 

my plan was to get the NZXT Grid for a total of 10 fans extra.

what i do know is that the grid takes a total of 30v with the 3pin input.

also from what i have found is that the fan headers on my z77 msi mpower are 12v each so using one of the fan headers to power it wouldnt have the power i will need.

 

what i would like to do is find some sort of internal OR pci case slot controler that would have the power the grid needs. i am trying to avoid a drive bay controler. i have the corsair c70 green case and i dont want to brake the look of the frount bay.

 

if you need any other info on my rig let me know

 

edit: i would like to be able to control the speed ether with a knob or switch. because of my case its fine if its inside as it takes only a sec to pull off the side pannel.

also im ok if they are all controled at the same time. this would not bother me

Easy, use the NZXT Grid and use a molex connector instead of motherboard header, then use volt reducers for each fan, or all on same.

i would lke to keep the option to turn them up or down. is the only thing(added that to my first post sorry) ether with soft ware or with a knob/switch. because of my case i dont mind having to open it to change the speed only takes 3 secs to pull off the side pannel.

If you want to control 10 fans with voltage control, the best way to go is to get a fan controller. 

 

Lamptron FC5v2 has 30w per channel so you can connect a ton of fans to each channel.

 

Watts = Amp x Volt

 

With a turn of a knob, you can turn your fans off, all the way to max RPM.

You could always get a mcubed tbalancer. They make one for pci but it doesn't actually connect to the pcie slot.

30V? that's not right. It takes 12V and splits it. How many fans are you running off of it? If it's not that many you could probably get away with plugging the grid into the mobo itself, then controlling fan speeds from the mobo.

 

If you want a knob on a PCI bracket then you could easily find some controllers on eBay.

Fan controller is the way to go for control of fans...remember that each fan uses on average two watts of juice...so a six channel controller that provides 30 watts per channel is a great choice for mulitple fans.....I use NZXTs Sentry Mix 2 and have eight fans (120s/140s) split between the six channels...no issues and still have room for expansion.  Insofar as "hidden", not sure about that....good luck with the search. :)
