There are already tons of guides online how to oc a Cpu its pretty basic up the multy by 1 stress test Stable = OK do it again and again until it crashes ur fine with that oc ? no then start adding voltage until its stable again but now u have to check the temps aswell cause higher voltage = more power draw more heat just try to find a sweet spot u dont want the cpu to go over 90c all the time

im kinda afraid of fucking something up.

Then just go with a simple oc without adding voltage maybe u can push a few more mhz without adding voltage just up the multy if u fuk up u can always just reset the bios only voltage can kill your cpu and thats very very rare but if your already afraid maybe u should just not oc it stock perf is already fine u could start easy and put all cores to 4.9 ghz thats the highes single core boost of a 9700k as far as i know that gives u a nice boost and is pretty save

so i dont need to alter the voltage?

Before u even touch the voltage u want to know if its stable or not haha u dont start adding voltage until the system becomes unstable and most 9700ks can hit 4.9 ghz all cores no prob without extra voltage

I did what  u said and this are the results. Are there any more demanding cpu benchmarks?

Prime 95 would be the ultimate test but ur only at 4.9ghz all core i would just keep at as it is now and use it if it ever crashes u can still just reset the bios :)

Sounds good! Thanks for the help mate :) The cpu tops at 80 degrees, is this good or bad?

80 is a normal cpu temp no prob there

And is 1529 cinebench score good?

Just compare it online against other 9700k i can get 1500 + with 5ghz on all cores using a 8700k that only has 6 cores but with 12 threads
