Touchscreen Issues

Hello,

I have an (annoying) problem with my Sony Xperia S.

I have an area where my touchscreen doesn't respond, I've searched the web for solutions but they didn't help.

So the only thing to try is the complete system restore, but I don't want to do that because then I lose all my payed apps, saved webpages and such.

The problem begun about an month ago around 10 o'clock in the morning. First my phone worked fine but suddenly my screen started

to react on touches which I didn't do and couple minutes later that part of my touchscreen died.

And now I have an area 1,5 cm by 3 cm that don't respond.

I still have a warranty on my phone.

So should I return my phone for screen replacement or try do an system restore by my self but risking losing some important data for nothing.

Greetings,

Simmytu

Watch out, there might be ninjas out there
