Ultrawide under $1000

Hey!

 

So I am upgrading from my dual Samsung 27" curved monitors. I want to upgrade to something above 60hz and to an unltrawide but am unsure where to go. I have a hard budget at $1000.

 

Any recommendations?

if you live close to a micro center i recommend this one: https://www.microcenter.com/product/615317/lg-34gk950f-b-34-wqhd-144hz-hdmi-dp-freesync-hdr-curved-led-gaming-monitor. I have it and it’s amazing. The response time is great, colors are great, and it’s rally bright. only downside is there is a bit of ips glow.

What is everyone's thoughts of: Asus ROG Strix XG49VQ 49”? I know its 3840 x 1080 but is 144hz and around $200 under budget. Is it really worth going for the 1200 or 1440?

They've been for quite a while on the market and are seen as a good brand. It will work with the 2070 super, but given the resolution, you might not hit high fps. It's like trying to run a 4k monitor.
