Need Help with new PC

Slightlytallguy

Hi,

i build my second PC yesterday and i cant get into the Bios.

My components are:

Asrock X570 Phantom 4 itx

Ryzen 5 3600X

Corsair LPX 32 GB DDR4 3200mhz

Noctua L9i Cooler (The Intel Version because this Mobo needs Intel Hardware)

Samsung 970 Evo M2 SSD 500GB

EVGA 1070 FTW

Corsair SFX 750 Watt PSU

Tested on the Mobo Box

The following is happening:

I press the Power button

The CPU Cooler and PSU Fan kick on and keep spinning

The GPU tries to spin but doesnt keep doing it

Then the Monitor gets a signal and shows nothing

Then the GPU Fans come on and stay on

The Monitor gets a signal and shows the Asrock Logo with the Info to the Boot Menu etc.

Then i start pressing DEL

Then the PC doesnt get into the Bios.

I tried:

-only one stick of RAM (each Channel)

-different PSU

-other SSD

-no SSD

-Other Cooler

-RMA the CPU and MOBO

What can i do/try?

Thanks in advance

What happens if you don’t start pressing DEL?

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

This is a very basic solution. but hey if it works. First of all, what happens if you don't press the DEL key? Does the PC boot normally? If thats the case, the problem may simply be that DEL is not the supported key to get into BIOS (which would be weird but some manufacturers do that) so instead try F2, F8 or F10.

You can try the following stuff:

  • Different keys on the Keyboard (F1, F2, F8, ESC, )
  • Different USB port (Maybe the one you're using is dead, maybe even the entire USB controller?)
  • Different Keyboard (Some keyboards take so long to initialize themselves that the MOBO has already posted)
  • Some X570 boards can boot without a CPU or RAM installed to flash the BIOS. Maybe try if you can enter it that way.

One final thing: Usually, if you don't have any bootable medium inserted (be it an SSD with an OS on it, a bootable USB or anything else), the BIOS should open automatically.
