Audio interface or DAC/AMP Combo

So i picked up the HIFIMAN HE-400I and i was wondering what would be better to drive them properly. An audio interface like the Focusrite SCARLETT SOLO 3RD GEN for example, or would any DAC/AMP combo with similar or lesser price perform better. if a DAC/AMP performs similarly i think i would stick with the Scarlett solo. Thoughts?

For the price I think you can get a fiio k5 pro and that would perform better. But the Scarlett isn't bad if you need the mic in

Scarlett is fine, especially if you already own it. If you need more volume you can always add another amp later.
