psu Should I replace my PSU?

Hey guys, I want a recommendation on if I should replace my 500w PSU from 1stplayer (Malaysian brand). Recently got an Asus strix GTX 1080 from a good deal, so far I haven't experience any failures other than my younger brother telling that JumpForce crashed a few time. I rarely use the PC due to work so I am never really home and I don't really want to come home to a burning house from work.

 

The specs:

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600

RAM: XPG D41 16GB 3000mhz

MOBO: gigabyte Aorus B450M

GPU: Asus strix GTX 1080

PSU seems of reasonable quality. I've just never heard of the brand. JumpForce crashing can be many other things. It's very unlikely it's PSU related..

I would definitely replace as its common joke going around that 1stplayer is a 1st time build killer.

Its a newer Chinese brand that's "gamer" orientated, they make everything under the sun peripheral wise.

I think that your brother is trying to run the game pretty hard also when running a game a good tip is to delete all chrome tabs because chrome takes a ton of RAM hopefully this will help.

also your PSU should be good

Well can't really say that it's chrome cause my internet has a crappy 100GB plan so it's pretty much offline during the end of the month

Well seems like I will be replacing it but should I go for a 600w and higher or is 500w plenty enough?

Friend of mine powers his ryzen 5 3600 and 1080 off a 450 watt so you're good.

also if the cpu has to work harder with chrome open

500 watts should be enough
