Ok thanks, i alraedy updated my bios to the latest version to support 9th gen i was thinking of getting an i5 9400f

In that case it's just simply taking out the old CPU and installing the new one. Kind of like shown in this video:

(P.S. unless you have a Celeron/Pentium/i3 right now, the 9400f wouldn't be an upgrade at all if you have a different i5 right now).
