If you can find a review of it showing its voltage regulation, transient response, ripple, build quality and protections are good, then don't be sceptical.

If you can't find such review, then you're entrusting the safety of your computer to complete blind chance.

I am thinking about putting a PowerSpec 650W 80+ Bronze PSU into a system but PowerSpec being a Mirco Center brand and it being 80+ Bronze I am a bit skeptical about using it, should I switch it out?

I'm also skeptical. Probably old group regulated design. Does micro center have any other offerings with this wattage in this price point from a more common manufacturer?

That said, it'll probably work OK regardless.
