Motherboard help!

Hi, is it true that some motherboards won't even try to start without CPU 

 

I have Asus prime b450m-a, everything accept CPU, just trying to see if the motherboard is showing some life, but it doesn't, the fans won't try to spin, everything works tho,(Ram, Psu). The motherboard is new, it was just sitting on my case. 

 

Thanks! 

 

PS I checked the cables and I tried to jump start it.

A person won't operate without a brain, equivalent for a computer. CPU is basically the brain of it

 

It won't run without a processor.
