As you can see in the photo below my 2x 8 pin PCIe cable are separate (obviously), and it gives me an aneurysm every time I look at it. I can get a bunch of Uphere cable combs on amazon for $11, so I'm considering buying them, and just cutting the 24 pin down to a 16 pin and using a couple to join my cables so they look more like my 24 pin. Should this be an issue? Or is there another method that could work? I tried using a leftover 4 pin comb from my cablemod but it doesn't work.

I would do exactly same thing tbh. I don’t see any issue with this method 

   @Whiro tag or quote will do the trick
