I9 confidential??

I wanna start off by saying this is my first post ever? Maybe my first post in a long time? I don't really know. I came upon a i9-7900x it does not say that on the heat spreader though, It says confidential 3.3ghz. I wonder if it's worth more or less due to it being a sample or something like that. Is it binned better or anything like that? Any input is greatly appreciated!!

It means it's an engineering sample which was likely given to a retailer or partner for testing and demo. It's not worth any more than a standard retail model and is probably actually worth less unless you can prove its some unreleased prototype or otherwise something special.

Unless its an ES (engineering sample) that performs like the released product, its worth less (because ES are typically clocked down, etc).  Just see if it meets the specs in use and then sell for the HEDT price that those things sell for.
