Too loud?

A week ago I bought a 2060 super AMP edition (Zotac double fan not the extreme amp) when I hooked it up I clearly heard more noise from the computer but I did not think much of it because I knew it didn't have Fan stop however when I open games like Jedi Fallen Order sure the temps go up to 67 - 71 because it is running on the highest preset and all however it is loud!! I can get used to it however it is really uncomfortable sometimes, also I don't wear headphones and my hard drive is kind of loud also but I wanted to ask if the card has a problem or it is normal

If a reasonably modern hard drive is loud to you, (which is ok because I used to run no case so I know what you mean) then the card is likely working properly. I would recommend going into something like Afterburner and setting your own fan curve after you read up on the reasonable temps for that specific model.

 

It is a card geared for max performance and overclocking so it will probably always be on the louder side but a manual curve can help at idles and light loads.

Ok so you suggesting I should set a fan curve on MSI Afterburner? And if so then why is it not being applied on the Firestorm program which is the one Zotac has

Yes you can. Use msi afterburner, it may be a bit hotter which is not huge deal but at least you gonna reduces noise.

   @Whiro tag or quote will do the trick

My simple solution is just to crank up the volume in the game so you can't hear the card's fans ;)  That said I've setup my fan curve so up to 35c the fans are at 30%, but by 45c fans are at 100%...no reason to deny the card all the cooling the fans can provide as soon as possible...
