I'm looking at getting this motherboard (https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B450Mac/) and it says that it supports the 3400G right out of the box.  It also says it supports a different(?) 3400G after a BIOS update.  Can anyone confirm if I bought both of these off of Newegg that I could just drop it in and it'd be compatible? Thanks!

these are post 3k boards. you can just drop in the CPU.

this board + another board and the Max series from MSI is 100% confirmed to have correct Bios for 3k series

I recently built a PC for a friend with this board, I can confirm this does work with Zen 2.

You are good to go! Happy Building!
