I know I’m not running the best of hardware but what I’m experiencing doesn’t make sense. My old card is the sapphire r9 270x 2gig and was getting a stable 60 FPS on gta 5.

i installed evga gtx 960 4gig card and current drivers I’m getting unstable 30 to 50 FPS nothing else has changed in hardware. What could be causing this???

When the card goes under load during game play the temp is around 67-71 degrees

Those temps are nowhere near anything to worry about.  What CPU and GPU usage % are you seeing while in game?

The gtx 960 is not that much faster than 270x. Yes it has more vram, so its better at higher resolutions. And its not even close to best hardware.

That is very good for the gpu.

Mayby you changed the graphics? Also be sure that the card is getting enough power, sometimes it gets blue screen sometimes it lowers the performance(very rare)
