Looking for gaming/work laptop

Hi, I'm looking for a laptop that is under £1000. Does anyone have any suggestions and is second hand worth looking into?

Not too worried about battery life but I tend to use for college work and playing games like red dead2 and battlefield.

Do you need one now? Or can you wait a few more months?

I'm not too worried for now. I have a few things to do before hand but it requires prior planning which is why I ask.

There are new versions of laptops I think you should wait for. I am on the same boat as you and you should make sure it is well spent.

Wait until May to June of this year.

I would love too but unfortunately I don't have that option. I'm having a clear out of tech as I'm not going to be able to use it again but I will need a laptop for work and still have the option to play if ever I get the opportunity

Heard bad support from PCS

Asus laptops have poor QC+QA and aftersales in general

So if I was to get either I would be better off looking at second hand?

Both models are decent, just need to be aware of the things I've mentioned. Not familiar with second hand market in UK though.

Ok, I have managed to squeeze my budget up to £1200 so I'm a little less tight on options
