Ryzen 5 3600 100% EDC after all core and undervolt

Hi can someone tell me if this is right. Ryzen 5 3600 with a 4.0ghz all core oc at 1.2v, the edc is showing 100% of 90A while running a stress test but at stock the edc was 2xxA.

Should i be worried? Or am i doing something wrong? Photo attached

All core manual boost or tweaked PBO?

2xxA - but at what voltage stock

Looks like RM reports 1.099v opposed to 1.2v you are using?

Somethin goin on

Pbo is disabled in bios.

Manual all core.

Set voltage to 1.2v in bios. Not sure whats going on with RM.

2xxA was at stock voltage 1.375v around there

Is the bios most recent?

Sometimes multiple monitoring programs conflict.

I myself also manually overclock in bios. Good stuff.

Showing 90A cause XFR and PBO is diabled, it doesn't fall below 100% because you probably have power plan set to 100% on CPU min and your not letting the CPU clock down when not needing full speed.

the bios on mine is, and does the same thing. trying to sort my sons system out before he flys home. trying to keep the temps downs as its in a Dan case. All i change was the vcore and cpu speed, is there anything else i need to change?

Does the cpu clock down below 4Ghz while under idle and does the EDC drop under 100% while at idle?

I don't see an issue then, when you manually OC you some how disabled XFR. Thats why EDC wen from 2xx down to 90a

Can't you just set EDC in BIOS or Ryzen master to 255A?

so it won't hurt the cpu in the long run? have been running aida64 stress test for 45mins and no issues. going to repaste the blackridge cooler tomorrow, see if that helps with temps.. attached a shot of mine at idle, RM doesn't show the right voltage but cpu-id show correct voltage

can in ryzen master, but i you have to apply the profile every time you start the pc as far as i'm aware

I don't remember. I think I can do this on my Crosshair VII. But what board do you have?

Yes I see, can't find anything in the manual. Hmm.. Maybe try setting it in Ryzen Master and then restart. Would be cool if you could get lets say 4.2ghz on all cores using the same voltage, but higher A limet (EDC)

You have to find the option for XFR its possible you have to enable PBO and XFR enables automatically

nah i think 4ghz is enough, was mainly doing it to keep temps down, plus its my kids system and he lives in another city, so i can't easily get there if something goes wrong. I have mine a 4.1ghz on 1.2v. so far so good

You have the same system? You should raise it anyway. No need to be on 100% EDC, that's only limiting the cpu :)

I do understand I have a ryzen 2700x myself. And when everthing is on auto my EDC dropped too.. After changing it to something higher I got better performance. But you may need to enable PBO and XFR and let the processor clock itself. Instead you can lower vcore with offset.

So i just reset everything and did a -0.05v offset, pbo is enabled, getting 1.35v. And only boosting  to 3.8ghz

What if you set EDC to 255A? And lower voltage even further?

I may need to test this myself when I get home.. :v Been a long time since I played with Ryzen..
