What do you mean?

typically you buy a cheaper devices to do portable tasks and reserve the expensive high end tasks to a system that is made for the job.

nothing is a worse investment like an expensive laptop that has no upgradability , expensive initial cost , expensive replacement parts that are proprietary , and a purposely short lifespan.

Oh I see.

Other than that do you think this is a great laptop for the price?

you can buy a laptop if you want just don't be surprised when your 1500$ laptop only lasts as long as a 400$ laptop

yeah and i feel bad for those people because they spent so much and got so very little. granted it's nice getting paid to fix their expensive laptops but it's not like I can fix every expensive laptop on planet earth so I do what i can to lighten the load on repair techs and help some save money along the way.

Fun chatting with you. :)

it is ok, gtx 1660 is the best value right now in a laptop, a 600 $ will be enough for programing, gaming , all task out there, also is a safe bet , not to expensive, and money safe.

GTX 1660 is better than a RTX 2060?! What?!!!

What am I looking for in a laptop that I need? I feel like everything is just generally expensive in Canada anyways...

I would be happy to spend just $600 for a laptop. Help me find one please.

Under $1500

What is wrong with the Asus FX?

Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315-52-588F

Lenovo Legion Y540 15 customize / 17 customize

Lenovo Legion Y540 15 81SX000KUS: 60Hz display

Not so recommended but decent model: Asus GL531GU

Asus FX: Bad cooling, OKish build quality, Asus poor QC+QA and aftersales. Also 3750H will bottleneck 2060 in some games

I'm not a fan of the Lenovo brand.

I see your point with the bottleneck.

I guess with the CPU it has a GTX 1650 would be better?

I don't like the look of the Asus GL531GU...

I'm not looking forward to overclocking the laptop... As long it has good cooling I will be happy.

If I was super serious about just gaming performance I would build a desktop PC not get a laptop.

That's way over my budget...

It's hard finding the laptop that is thin and light enough that can also lightly game...

I thought the GTX 1650 is a good enough GPU that can handle most game at high setting. Not Ultra but just high setting.

I have another PC for higher performing gaming PC.
