Upgarde cpu or not?

I have an rtx 2070 super from asus and an i7 7700 (non k) is it worth upgrading to a better cpu? (if yes and you can recommend pls do) i play 1440p 144hz

Only upgrade if your current CPU isn't doing something you want it to. If you are primarily gaming, the i7-7700 will be a great CPU for literal years to come

I think you should be fine for another 1-2 years with the 7700, if all you do is gaming. If you want to check for yourself whether your GPU is being bottlenecked, just check your CPU and GPU's usages while gaming with something like MSI Afterburner. Ideally, you want your GPU to run at 90-100% usage, with your CPU not going over 80-90%, but as long as you don't notice stuttering and frametimes are consistent, then you should be good.
