Today is the day!  That I start fixing my PC from its unbalanced state and get it all awesomified! So, I need a new graphics card to replace my GTX 650, I do not want to replace my power supply although I have a 600watt power supply so I'm quite flexible.  Here are my current specs:

CPU: i7 3820

Cooler: Noctua NH-U12DXi4 Ultra Silent XEON cooler

SSD: Samsung 840 EVO

HDD: Seagate barracuda 2TB

Power Supply: Silverstone strider plus 600w 80+silver

mobo: p9x79le

memory: 8GB Adata premier pro

I want a GPU that will be good for average 60fps 1080p gaming, I don't want anything to overpowered or to expensive.  AMD r7 and r9 series are cheaper than Nvidia cards over here like quite a bit cheaper.  So keep that in mind.  I need help finding a target for me to save up for and I seriously don't know the best option.   I hope you guys can help me, since I know for a fact allot of you a gamers while all I play is Minecraft and Planetside 2 on low which looks ugly.  But I want to get more into gaming, thanks in advance.

As a side note:  My budget, theres not really one but I'm aiming for a card that will do what I want without being overpowered, I want a card in the sort of mid-range, best bang for your buck area.

If the R9 series are a lot cheaper for you, then I'd go for either the R9 290 or R9 280X.

EDIT: If you're looking for something a bit lower end, then the R9 270X is surprisingly powerful. My friend had one and it does well in most games.
